Well it’s been nearly two days now since I headed across the pond to work in Shannon, Ireland. It’s been a whirlwind of an adventure so far. I’m sure it’s only going to get better. And it’s about time I started a blog about it! In an effort to keep people up to date on all the goings on over here, and share pictures and stories, this sounded like the perfect solution. And about ten people have been bugging me about doing it.
I will spend the next three months training two new software engineers and bringing them up to speed. This will be a great opportunity/adventure/lesson in working with remote teams. This is a challenge that I am definitely looking forward to! I also can’t wait to experience and learn about a different culture. To see a new country. And to travel. During my stay here, I’m hoping to see Ireland and potentially take some weekend excursions outside of Ireland.
